Automated system for measuring and controlling the environment for 2 independent spaces with IoT.
The National University of Colombia has the Terrestrial Arthropod Research Center - CINAT - whose mission is to work for the conservation, sustainable use of biodiversity, and the development of new alternatives for the production of animal protein and added values, from terrestrial arthropods, with emphasis on the insect class from social, economic and environmental sustainability
* The challenge: Automatically monitor and control the environmental conditions for the hatchery and the reproduction of the different species kept in the laboratory from 2 different environments, that is, room 1 and room 2.
* The solution: Fika-IO designed and implemented an automated system with 4.0 technology integrating robust technologies such as SIEMENS, Schneider and Rittal; with the aim of recording and controlling temperature and humidity variables from sensors and actuators that maintain the ideal conditions for each of the environments independently.
* The result: The solution allows the visualization and control of variables through a dashboard that reports the online status. On the other hand, the solution provides a response service through chat for immediate consultation of the environmental conditions of the hatchery and sending instant notifications when the values exceed predefined parameters, this is done for each of the environments.
